The NEW IRD Fuel Cell generator range

The new IRD Fuel Cell range is the very latest in high output Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC) available NOW from UPS Systems.

This new range of fuel cells from IRD provide much higher power outputs than most methanol fuel cells on the market today and are ideal for stationary or in-vehicle applications up to 850W continuous power. As with the EFOY range of fuel cells they operate essentially as a charger maintaining the voltage and the condition of the batteries which carry the main load of the application.
Key features:

  • Methanol fuel provided in safe 5, 10 and 25 litre cartridges direct from UPS Systems
  • 500 or 850 W output units available
  • Practically zero emissions
  • Almost silent running so ideal for use in noise-sensitive areas
  • Battery ‘charging’ function provides long-runtimes with no need for refuelling or maintenance
  • Inbuilt touch-pad control panel
  • 24/48V DC output
  • RS232 Data feed

Ideal for:

  • Any static power supply requirements up to 900W
  • Practically zero emissions so ideal for use in enclosed well ventilated areas
  • Remote monitoring and telemetry equipment
  • Remote security and CCTV equipment
  • In-vehicle power
