Why do you need backup power in your home or small business?
Home: The devices you use every day for communication, security and entertainment are at risk of damage and failure due to unexpected power cuts, voltage fluctuations or other power disruptions. A plug n play UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) provides backup power and protection for these electronic devices, including:
- Computers
- Wireless networking equipment (modems and routers)
- Security Systems
- Games Consoles
- Televisions
Small businesses are even more vulnerable to power failures than homes. This is due to not only the risk of damage they represent but also disruption to the business itself. With no power, the business can grind to a halt, as computers and phones stop working.
As with all UPS, plug n play UPS need to be specified for the equipment they are supporting. Even when correctly specified, the batteries are only designed to support the equipment for a short period. This allows the equipment to be switched off safely or allows last-minute communications to be made. If longer power support is required, you will need a generator.
